It’s never too early to book me, but it’s often too late.

Beat the rush !

It’s true, it’s never too early to book me, but often I am contacted for someone wanting a professional disco for their Wedding reception, Civil ceremony or other event but sadly, I’m already booked for that date.

Maybe the entertainment is researched into last because chronologically the evening reception is the last part of the tremendously important day. Indeed the reception happens after the home-visiting hair & makeup artist, the Wedding car arrival, the photographers, the church or Registry Office slot, the arrival drinks, the meal, the cake etc.

However, whilst your big day may be months away, and wow, there are 365 days in a year, there are only a few choice dates every year that most weddings happen. Most couples want as many guests as possible to be available to attend and stay for the whole event. Monday to Friday are “out” as many will be at work, or have school /children commitments. Sunday’s are “out” as people may have work the next day and will need an early night.

That leaves Saturdays… Great ! Because there are 52 of those each year. But, most couples don’t want bad weather on their wedding day, that takes out potentially chilly September, through until the unpredictable April. That leaves May through to August… That’s every couple who want to get married every year, chasing just 16 Golden Saturdays, every year. An additional train of thought says that for couples with children of school age, that 16, boils down still further to the 6 weeks of the school summer holidays.

So a professional experienced Wedding DJ could potentially get booked up solid for that entire period in just 16 phone calls or emails.

Another very understandable way that some couples miss out in getting their preferred wedding specialist is the phrase “Let’s get Christmas out the way and then in the new year we’ll…”. As soon as Boxing Day passes us, I keep the Bookings Diary, and multiple pens in pride of place beside the phone. A follow on surge happens as New Years Day passes and couples call me with the rather panicked phrase “We’re getting married THIS year !”

I’ve taken bookings as far in advance as 4 years ahead and regularly get asked about Wedding bookings over two years away. So I won’t turn you away, or ask you to call again in a years time. Forward thinking avoids disappointment !

To avoid disappointment, call me to discuss your big day as soon as you’ve got your date confirmed.

Remember, it’s never too early to book me, but…
